Here are the questions to ask yourself:

FIGURE OUT YOUR SPIN

Don’t overthink. You don’t need to answer every question. This should be light.  

  1. What strong beliefs do you have?

Are there any that are NOT traditional

Any counterintuitive?

 

  1. If a prospect came to you, what is one thing they can do right now to put them on the right path, first step, move in the right direction?

 

  1. Why do you exist?

For example: “everyone should celebrate their uniqueness”

 

  1. Is there a theme that transcends your industry?

 

  1. Things you preach / phrases you say / advice you give

Don’t leave the house without lipstick

Start your day by stretching

Never go to bed angry

There’s always a silver lining

 

  1. What future do you want to create (for yourself, your family, your clients)


  2. What are your values? Do they relate to your work?


  3. What is something you do every day that you think everyone should do every day?


  4. Think of one other person / company that sells what you sell. List at least one thing that makes you different.


  5. What is something – completely unrelated – that is similar? Create a metaphor

Make it a habit, like brushing your teeth

Running a business is like going to therapy

 

After answering these questions, the next step is to create your SPIN Messages.
