How to Create Compelling Content When You Aren't "Naturally Creative"

Uncategorized Jan 03, 2022

You have a message to share, but it's hard to come up with new ideas consistently when you're not naturally creative.

Or is it?

Creativity isn't a talent - it's a skill that anyone can learn! The problem is that if you’ve decided that you aren’t "naturally" creative, you may not know how to begin.

Many of my students have asked me how to be more creative in coming up with topics for their videos. So I created a guide to ignite your creativity in 8 different ways.

We ALL need inspiration and guidance. These techniques will show you how easy it is to find fresh themes, create compelling content, and come up with ideas out of thin air on an ongoing basis – even if you think you’re not creative!

Bottom line: I will show you how creative you really are. 🤩

Read the quick list below, and watch the show for more in-depth details about each idea.

  1. Realize that you ARE creative (it is your decision)
  2. Rewrite the question you need an answer to. Instead of “what should I create / write / record?”, come up with 10 variations. For example, What COULD I create? What WOULD I create if I had the right lighting / unlimited time? What does my audience watch? What do I wish I saw when I scrolled YouTube?
  3. Use templates / scripts / prompts
  4. Carry around an idea book to record spontaneous inspiration
  5. Dedicate the same time each day for creating – and use your idea book for ideas
  6. Spend time looking at others' creativity for inspiration
  7. Meditate
  8. Exercise

My suggestion is to create even when you feel that you aren't creative. If you keep showing up, you will get results.
